Travelling with pets to the United Arab Emirates from the UK requires them to be issued with an Export Health Certificate (EHC).
We are here to help guide you through the EHC process and there are a number of steps to be aware of:
- Each pet requires their own EHC.
- Each pet requires an import permit number (applications here).
- Pets must be microchipped with an ISO compliant microchip (please contact us to discuss if this is not the case).
- Rabies vaccination must have been completed at least 21 days before export.
- Regular (core) vaccines for dogs and cats must have been administered within 12 months before export and be valid according to manufacturers recommendations.
- Treatment for internal and external parasites must be confirmed within 14 days before export.
- A clinical examination (health check) by the Official Vet completing the EHC must take place within 24 hours before export.
- Please contact us to discuss export of pets other than cats or dogs.
